About me

I'm a master’s student of biotechnology at the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology of University of Gdansk and Medical University of Gdansk. My studies in this field are closely connected with an advanced knowledge of the English language, as it is highly important in a biotechnologist’s work – particularly when writing publications.

I started learning English at 6 years old and have been actively developing in its familiarity ever since. As a middle school student I have acquired the Cambridge English: First certificate (B2) with grade A. In high school I have acquired the Cambridge English: Advanced certificate (C1) with grade A. During my bachelor’s studies I have taken part in an advanced English course and acquired a C2 level certificate from University’s of Gdansk Foreign Languages Centre. During this course I have also expanded my knowledge of terminology relating to biology and chemistry.

I have always considered translating to and from the English language one of my strong suits, as I can easily adjust the style according to current needs. This probably comes from the fact that I’ve been consuming media in English for almost half of my life. I’m also able to easily translate scientific texts – I often use publications in English during my studies.
