Good morning, my name is Nicole and I am a 21-year-old second-year student of English Philology, specializing in translation and business.
The course covers many areas of life in English-speaking countries, such as history, literature, British and American life&institutions, and also focuses on technical aspects of the language (comprehension, writing, conversation, translation theory, descriptive and practical grammar and linguistics).
In addition, I also study business correspondence (in English) and specialised business language. And beside that I also study Spanish and I teach English to children :)
I think this is a great information background for the translation process. I am just beginning my adventure, but in the perfect order - first theory and then practice. From the autopsy I can say that each of the subject mentioned above is helpful and sometimes even necessary for the correct translation of the text.
Apart from science which I love, I like to observe the world and animals, read popular science books and guidebooks. I like art and beautiful places and monuments.
